Jason Widney

Praised by The Washington Post as “velvety voiced,” Jason Widney is a versatile performer and pedagogue. A specialist in early music and oratorio, Jason performs regularly as a soloist and ensemble member with the Washington Bach Consort. He has also performed as a soloist with the Washington National Cathedral, Bay Atlantic Symphony, New Dominion Chorale, Bach in Baltimore, The Handel Choir of Baltimore, and the Baltimore Symphony. Jason has a particular affinity for Art Song literature and is a frequent performer with Baltimore Musicales. As an ensemble singer, Jason regularly performs with groups such as Cathedra and the Bridge Ensemble. Jason served as a regular member of the choir at the Washington National Cathedral from 2014-2021. In addition to his performing career, Jason serves on the faculties of Towson University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Goucher College.
